The constitution

Principle 01Speed-to-decision is the only metric that matters.

Every feature must reduce executive decision time.

If a feature does not help leaders make better decisions faster, it should not be built.

Rule · Ship a feature only when it shortens the time from signal to confident decision.
Principle 02Why · Evidence · Impact · Confidence · Outcome — always.

Explain before recommending.

Every recommendation must clearly explain why, supporting evidence, business impact, confidence, and expected outcome. Never ask executives to trust unexplained AI.

Rule · A recommendation without the five fields is not allowed in the product.
Principle 03OpsIQ is the intelligence layer, not a system of record.

Integrate before replacing.

OpsIQ exists to connect existing enterprise systems. It does not replace CRM, ERP or WFM. It becomes the intelligence layer above them.

Rule · Prefer integration over duplication. Never re-implement a system of record.
Principle 04State · Problem · Cause · Recommendation · Owner · Outcome.

Clarity over complexity.

Every screen should communicate current state, problem, cause, recommendation, owner and expected outcome. Nothing more.

Rule · If a screen needs a tour to be understood, the screen is wrong.
Principle 05No isolated modules. Every recommendation has a home in every product.

Everything connects.

Every recommendation should connect to Atlas, Mission Control, Executive Briefs, Action Center, Enterprise Memory and Decision Studio.

Rule · A new surface must wire into the six core products or it is not shipped.
Principle 06A confidence score without visible reasoning is forbidden.

Evidence before confidence.

Confidence scores should never exist without visible reasoning.

Rule · Hide the confidence pill unless evidence is one click away.
Principle 07Every KPI, recommendation, report and insight comes from one engine.

One source of truth.

Every KPI, every recommendation, every report and every insight should originate from the same Intelligence Engine.

Rule · No surface may compute KPIs locally. Read from the engine.
Principle 08Complex operations. Simple experience.

Enterprise simplicity.

OpsIQ governs complex global operations. The experience must remain calm, sparse and confident.

Rule · Density is a tax. Default to whitespace; justify every chart.
Principle 09OpsIQ assists. Humans decide.

Human leadership remains essential.

OpsIQ assists executives. It never decides for them on consequential matters.

Rule · Auto-execute is reserved for low-impact, high-confidence actions with audit.
Principle 10Not information. Outcomes.

Every workflow ends with measurable business value.

Every workflow should end with measurable business value — not information.

Rule · If a workflow cannot name its dollar, time or risk outcome, redesign it.

The canonical recommendation

Principles 2, 4 and 6 in a single primitive. Every recommendation across the platform now renders in this shape.

Decision · clarity v11.0
Confidence 94% · evidence ↓
Current state
Member Services SL at 86% over the last 90 minutes (target 90%).
Problem
Tier-2 transfer rate up 11% in Claims, dragging SL on adjacent queues.
Cause
Tuesday/Wednesday peak coincides with under-coached new supervisor cohort.
Recommendation
Surge 12% capacity on Tue/Wed 11:00–14:00 and re-sequence coaching to Claims supervisors first.
Owner
C. Okafor · Director, Claims LOB
Expected outcome
SL recovers to 91% within 9 days · est. revenue protected $184k · churn risk −2pts.
Evidence behind this confidence
  • · Same pattern last 4 Tuesdays · auto-detected
  • · Cohort match: 91% with 28 peer organizations
  • · Forecast MAPE 6.4% holding through this window
Speaks the Genome · references your archetype (Disciplined Operator).
Why this card matters
  • · Replaces ad-hoc recommendation layouts everywhere — Atlas, Inbox, WBR, Cloud widgets.
  • · Confidence pill is only shown when evidence exists (Principle 6).
  • · Six fields are mandatory. Missing any one fails the build at review.
  • · Cross-product links are first-class — no recommendation is an island (Principle 5).
  • · Expected outcome must be quantified in $, time or risk (Principle 10).

What we simplified

Compliance is also subtraction.

Stripped unexplained confidence

Confidence pills now collapse unless evidence is visible in one click. Across the platform.

Killed local KPI math

Every KPI now resolves through the Intelligence Engine. No screen computes its own truth.

Removed duplicate recommendation shapes

Atlas, Inbox, Briefs and widgets all render through the DecisionCard primitive.

Open watchlist

Surfaces with a remaining violation. Next sprint scope.

Platform Architecture

Densest screen on the platform — earmarked for simplification next sprint.

Violates: P8

The pledge

We will not ship a feature that lengthens an executive decision. We will not display a number we cannot explain. We will not replace a system we should integrate. We will not call a workflow complete until it produces measurable business value.— The OpsIQ engineering and product team, v11.0.
